The Municipality of Sovico inaugurates the new civic library at Viale Brianza 4 on Saturday, October 24, 2026, on the occasion of the Patron Saint Festival. Saturday starts at 10:15 with a welcome coffee, followed by the ribbon cutting at 11:00 with speeches by authorities and harpist Vincenzo Zitello. The morning ends with an aperitif starting at 12:00. During the renovation work, architectural elements from the 1930s have resurfaced, including historic flooring and wooden structures from the original project by architect Guglielmo Ulrich. The Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape has prescribed their restoration, and the inauguration offers the opportunity to discover these findings. The library will also be open on Sunday, October 25 and Monday, October 26, with musical moments and workshops for children and teenagers. On Sunday at 15:00 and 17:00 there will be musical interludes, while on Monday the library will be open with workshops for the little ones.
