Rovato celebrates National Unity and Armed Forces Day with two events that intertwine with the Patron Saint Festival of San Carlo Borromeo. On Wednesday 4 November, the Salone Pianoforte of the Town Hall hosts the award ceremony for historic businesses, the presentation of a scholarship and the extraordinary Town Council with the conferral of the Leoni d'Oro and Leoncini honours, followed by the Solemn Mass in Santa Maria Assunta presided over by the Bishop of Brescia. On Sunday 8 November, the day opens with the Mass for the Fallen, then the procession with the Corpo Civico Bandistico "Luigi Pezzana" crosses the town centre and stops in Piazza Cavour and at the War Memorial of the primary schools for the laying of laurel wreaths and the official commemoration. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Rovato, which invites citizens to participate.
