Francesco: the saint, the man, the visionary
Teatro Civico Roberto De Silva
Organised by Comune di Rho
At the Teatro Civico Roberto De Silva in Rho, on Sunday 8 November 2026, a secular marathon of about eight hours dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi will be staged. On stage, books, cinema, theatre, music, dance, performances, videos, songs and journalism alternate to narrate the words, gestures and choices that made Francis a universal figure. The event closes the review 800 anni di luce - Rho celebra Francesco, curated by Giorgio Almasio with the collaboration of Barz and Hippo and promoted by the Municipality of Rho. Before the marathon, in the Ridotto del Teatro, the nursery schools of Rho present the project A tavola con il Lupo. The marathon's format aims to create a temporary community of listening and reflection, around the value of time dedicated to knowledge and dialogue.
