In Ostiglia, Christmas comes early: from late October to mid-January, the historic centre and municipal venues host Waiting for Christmas, a widespread series of cultural, musical, food and wine, and traditional events. Now in its second edition, the calendar is spread across Piazza Cornelio, Teatro Monicelli, Sala delle Colonne, Area Expo and Cortile Municipale. The events include book presentations, concerts, exhibitions and street festivals such as the Festa di San Martino and the Festa della Polenta, along with the Mostra dei Presepi, the ice skating rink and the traditional Concerto di Capodanno. The initiative is promoted by the Comune di Ostiglia in collaboration with Pro Loco Ostiglia APS ETS and the association Glera Vibes APS-ETS.
