An event in the cultural series Altrove, first edition, promoted by the Comune di Lissone: one meeting a month to explore a thematic area and observe contemporary reality through an additional lens. On Thursday 12 November 2026, at 9 pm, the Biblioteca Civica di Lissone hosts the meeting "The violence we have learned not to see", dedicated to the relationship between gender and the media. At the centre are stereotypes and the less visible forms of gender-based violence, those that pass through the words, images and language with which the media report events and that often go unnoticed because we have grown used to not noticing them. Speakers include Mara Ghidorzi, gender expert and scientific director of Fondazione Libellula, and Laura Marinaro, crime journalist. Moderated by Stefania D'Amore, with an introduction by Elisa Belloni, assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Lissone.
