A public meeting to understand how scams work from a psychological point of view: which mechanisms lead a person to trust, which levers scammers use and how to recognise them in time. The appointment is on 3 November 2026 at 10:00 at the Comando della Polizia Locale di Cremona, in Piazza della Libertà 20. The meeting is intended above all for elderly people, caregivers and associations, with practical guidance on recognising attempted fraud and defending oneself. A psychologist and psychotherapist specialised in victimology will speak. Participation is free and open, with no booking required. The initiative is organised by Anmic Cremona and is part of the project "Non ci caschiamo! Insieme sicuri contro le truffe agli anziani", promoted by the Comune di Cremona and funded by the Ministero dell'Interno, with the collaboration of Banco BPM. It is the second of four training meetings.
