Ville Aperte in Brianza 2026: dates, villas, and program

The autumn edition of Ville Aperte in Brianza returns from September 19 to October 4, 2026, connecting over 200 cultural assets in 90 municipalities in the provinces of Monza and Brianza, Milan, Lecco, and Como. The initiative, promoted and coordinated by the Province of Monza and Brianza, offers guided tours, special openings, and itineraries ranging from historic villas to Romanesque churches, hydroelectric plants, and botanical gardens.

Historic villas and palaces

In Carate Brianza Ville Aperte in Brianza opens Villa Cusani Confalonieri and the adjacent Oratory of Santa Maria Maddalena, as well as the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and the Baptistery of Agliate. Visits are paid (5 euros, free for under 12 and disabled) with mandatory reservation.

In Barlassina the event showcases Palazzo Rezzonico, the Church of San Giulio, and Palazzo Brusati. On Sunday, September 27, the adult visit concludes with a concert by the Corpo Musicale G. Verdi; on Saturday, October 3, a children's visit is scheduled with a grandparents' celebration.

On the weekend of September 20 and 27, Lissone offers guided tours of Villa Reati and Palazzo Terragni (5 euros), free activities at the MAC, and free access to the churches of San Carlo and Santa Maria Assunta. Guided itineraries are also available for 10 euros.

Muggiò participates with the opening of Villa Casati Stampa di Soncino, the Mausoleum of the Casati Family, and Palazzo Isimbardi.

In Cuggiono Ville Aperte allows visits to the neoclassical complex of Villa Annoni, with its 23-hectare park and the Civic Historical Museum, and the Castelletto hamlet.

Carimate offers free visits to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell'Albero (with frescoes from the school of Bergognone), the Golf Club House designed by Vico Magistretti, and the new open-air museum dedicated to the Stone Castle Studios, as well as the surroundings of the Castle.

Churches, sanctuaries, and villages

In Sovico the initiative “Una Piazza, due Chiese” opens the doors of the Old Church of Saints Simon and Jude and guides visitors to discover the Parish Church of Christ the King.

Turate joins with Palazzo Caimi-Pollini, the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul, and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria in Campagna.

Carnate offers free guided tours of the Passirano village.

Seveso allows access to the Sanctuary of San Pietro Martire, the Centro Pastorale Ambrosiano, and the Bosco delle Querce.

Cavenago di Brianza opens Palazzo Rasini, the Church of Santa Maria in Campo, and the Church of San Giulio.

In Agrate Brianza the appointment is concentrated in a single day, Sunday, September 27, with free visits to the Bontempi Collection, Cascina Offellera, and the Church of San Giovanni. The Mulino dell’Offellera and the Casa Museo di Padre Clemente Vismara are accessible with a ticket managed by private entities.

Production sites and gardens

In Cornate d’Adda Ville Aperte makes the Carlo Esterle Hydroelectric Plant in Porto d’Adda accessible only during September weekends, usually closed to the public.

Valmadrera offers two separate openings. The first, on September 19 and 20, concerns Villa Gavazzi, a monumental complex with a silk mill, chapel, and romantic garden, with free visits and a Spirabilia concert on Saturday 19. The following weekend, September 26 and 27, features the Riccardo Villa Botanical Garden and the Fatebenefratelli Cultural Center, with thousands of medicinal species and mountain flora; on both days, the “Note al Museo” concerts with Mikrokosmos are scheduled.
